Being a little romantic is always good, and whilst in Paris I decided to wear a really girly and floral print dress. I love it and I think the colour red is super flattering, and although I normally tend to go for washed out colours, I am aware that bright colours are great when it comes to putting looks together. I paired the dress with a pair of sandals from last summer’s Pertini by b a r t a b a c collection and a denim jacket. For those of you asking, I will not be launching another collection this summer. Truth be told, I have spent the whole year focusing on my brand, À Bicyclette (which is now available in over 200 different points of sale and that makes me super happy). I’ve also been travelling lots, spending less than a month at home at a time during winter, so it’s just been very difficult to make time for everything and I’ve had to put some things aside. It makes me sad though because I loved working with Pertini and launching shoe collections made just the way I like them, but I am sure that I will be back with more as soon as time in my schedule becomes available. Como un toque romántico nunca viene mal, estando en Paris me animé con este vestido tan femenino con flores troqueladas. Me gusta especialmente porque me parece que el rojo es muy favorecedor y, aunque generalmente me decante casi sin darme cuenta por colores lavados, reconozco que los colores fuertes ayudan a crear looks especiales. Lo combiné con sandalias de mi colección Pertini by b a r t a b a c del verano pasado y cazadora vaquera. Y para todas las que me preguntáis por mi colección de sandalias, este verano tampoco habrá, la verdad es que este año me he volcado 100% en mi marca À Bicyclette (que ya está en mas de 200 puntos de venta y estoy mas que feliz!), y en mis viajes, pasando menos de un mes en casa en todo el invierno, por lo que me ha sido complicado compaginar todo y he tenido que dejar algo de lado, con mucha tristeza porque me chiflaba trabajar con Pertini y ha sido un placer desarrollar una nueva faceta y sacar colecciones de zapatos hechas “a mi medida”…. eso si, estoy segura de que en cuanto tenga algo de tiempo volveré con mas zapatitos!!! Our trip around Paris’ special spots continues. Whenever I am in the French capital, I love to start the day off by visiting a market, buying flowers, having breakfast on a terrace, and exploring the city without any previous plans. It’s all about discovering new places and streets and taking in this gorgeous city which makes me fall in love every time. We weren’t very lucky with the weather this time and I was a bit poorly but we still made the most of our time there and made sure that we took photos in places with “charme”. The photos were taken on a day when I had meetings and I rocked a Levis denim midi skirt, a pair of Pura Lopez sandals and a white t-shirt. You all know that I love white cotton tops and denim. There’s nothing better! We are in Barcelona today and in a few days we are going to Denia and Ibiza. I can’t wait! Oh and guess what, we will be unveiling a NEW B A R T A B A C soon!!

Seguimos nuestro recorrido por rincones especiales de Paris. Cuando estoy allí me chifla comenzar el dia con una visita al mercado, compro flores, desayuno en una terraza y después toca “explorar” e ir sin rumbo fijo, simplemente para descubrir zonas o sitios especiales y disfrutar de las calles de esta ciudad que me enamora cada dia mas. Ésta vez no tuvimos suerte con el tiempo y yo estuve regular, pero aun asi no desaproveché ni un minuto y, como véis, aprovechamos para sacar fotos en rincones con “charme”. Este dia tocó reunión y me puse falda midi vaquera de Levi’s con sandalias de Pura López y camiseta blanca, porque si, soy una enamorada del denim con las camisetas de algodón blancas. Nada mejor. Mil besos, hoy estamos en Barcelona y en un par de dias escapada a Denia e Ibiza, qué ganas…por cierto, sabéis una cosa?? En breve os espera un NUEVO BARTABAC, con muchos cambios!!

A few days ago we went on a quick trip to Barcelona, which is always a pleasure. I love the city and if the weather is good, well, then I just love it even more. Although we didn’t have a lot of time we still managed to enjoy the delicious food, to go for a walk around my favourite spots and to go to Roca Village to celebrate the opening of the Pop-up Boutique “Barcelona Designers Collective“, a fantastic way of showcasing the work of 62 independent designers. There’s a bit of everything: fashion, graphic design, illustration, art, contemporary jewellery and even food …. I have fallen in love of their pieces and creations (lots of them featured in the photographs below). After getting to know and inaugurating the Pop-up we finally managed to enjoy the party with very good music and great company, there’s nothing better! Here are a few photos of that day, I hope you will all visit this very unique space. Lots of love. 

Hace solo un par de días hemos hecho una visita fugaz a Barcelona que siempre es un placer, me encanta esta ciudad y si hace bueno mucho mas. Aunque no tuvimos mucho tiempo pudimos disfrutar de una comidita rica, de paseo por mis zonas favoritas y de acercarnos a La Roca Village con motivo del opening de la Pop-up Boutique “Barcelona Designers Collective“, una iniciativa genial en la que 62 diseñadores independientes tienen la oportunidad de mostrar su trabajo en un entorno ideal, algo muy de agradecer ya que siempre es un gusto descubrir talentos nuevos, dejar que nos sorprendan con sus trabajos y para ellos es un escaparate increíble. Hay un poco de todo: moda, diseño gráfico, ilustración, arte, joyería contemporánea y hasta gastronomía…y yo me he quedado enamorada de sus piezas y creaciones (muchas de ellas en las fotos). Tras conocer y dar por inaugurado el Pop-up tocó fiesta con música y buena compañía, nada mejor! Os dejo con fotos de ese día que espero que os animen a visitar este espacio único. Mil besos.

Alexandre III bridge is one of Paris’ most beautiful spots. Whenever I walk past it I always end up looking at it in amazement – it’s simply perfect. I am pretty sure I’ve said the typical blogger phrase “will you take a photo?” at least once whenever I see it hehe. This day was no different and we decided to put together this post. I wore a pair of frayed jeans which you’ve already seen a few times with a dress turned maxi blouse/off shoulder and a pair of slippers. Uno de los rincones mas bonitos de Paris es el puente de Alexandre III. Yo siempre que paso me quedo pasmada, mire donde mire todo es simplemente perfecto, y no creo que haya una vez en la que no haya dicho la típica frase de una blogger: me sacas una foto? jjj. Welcome to the new Bartabac!! I could not be happier about this new stage, it has taken a few months and a lot of hard work (thanks Juan and STL team!) but I love the result. I hope you’ll like it and find it original, easy and practical to use. There are a few new sections and the site is generally more varied – let me know what you think. Today I’m wearing a dress from Etsy, a perfect site which houses a wide range of stuff from all over the world (and not just fashion). I am a huge fan of boho pieces for summer so these kind of dresses, which are not always easy to find, make me very happy. This one came from a little shop in Bali and I am delighted that it’s mine! It was love at first sight with this skirt. It’s one of those pieces which I personally think are great for summer and they don’t need much else: I like to pair it with the most simple pieces that I own. It’s a great way of letting the skirt take centre stage. Don’t you think? I rocked this outfit for a walk around Ibiza; I never tire of Dalt Vila at sunset. I love exploring all the shops and going for delicious meals. I love summer, I love Ibiza. Lots of love!

Con esta falda tuve un flechazo. Es de esas prendas que veo especialmente favorecedoras para el verano y que no necesitan muchos aderezos, de hecho me gusta combinarla de la forma mas sencilla posible: con camiseta blanca. Es una buena forma de darle todo el protagonismo, no os parece? Me puse el look para un paseo por el centro de Ibiza, y es que nunca me caso de disfrutar del Dalt Vila al caer la tarde, de “investigar” las tienditas y de cenar en ricos restaurantes con calorcito. Yesterday I spoke to you about my skirt so today I thought that I would chat about my shirt. It has the perfect cut, it falls nicely, has great sleeves … what can I say, I think it’s fantastic. It’s one of those simple yet beautifully cut pieces that are behind my looooove of fashion.  I am sure you all have a special item in your closet, one that makes you feel amazing whenever you wear it. I am lucky because I get to wear mine in a cute little Ibizan town. Lots of love!

Si ayer os hablaba de mi falda hoy toca hablaros de la camisa. Un corte perfecto, con una caída genial, con unas mangas espectaculares…qué queréis que os diga, me parece alucinante y este tipo de prendas sencillas pero bien cortadas son las que hacen que me guste taaanto la moda. A few weeks ago, while in Paris, we headed to Barcelona because we didn’t want to miss the Sonar Festival. They were a few intense days, filled with concerts and a fantastic atmosphere. I loved New Order’s set, I’ve always been a fan. On one of those days, I decided to go for a head-to-toe black outfit which was super comfortable and perfect for this kind of event. I rocked a culotte playsuit, Birks and a denim jacket (which by the way was great because it poured down, the weather is crazy!). Lots of love, see you!!

Hace unas semanas, estando en Paris, nos marchamos a Barcelona porque no queríamos perdernos el Festival Sonar. Fueron unos dias intensos de conciertos a todas horas y ambientazo, y me volví loca con el concierto de New Order, un grupo que siempre me ha gustado. Para uno de esos dias elegí este look total black muy cómodo y perfecto para ese tipo de festivales. Llevaba mono con pantalones culotte, Birks y cazadora vaquera (que, por cierto, me vino genial porque hasta se puso a diluviar, el tiempo estaba totalmente loco!). Mil besos, nos vemos!!

One of my favourite things to do in summer is to go the market. Even if I don’t want to buy anything specific, I love being able to walk around and take a look at all the different stalls (and when I say all, I mean all!) because going for a little walk and doing a little bit of shopping is bliss. Whenever I am in Ibiza I always go to Las Dalias, which is famous for its atmosphere. I rocked this lace dress in my favourite colour with suede slippers and a wicker basket. I accessorized the outfit with gold bits and my fave sunglasses. Lots of love, I hope that you like these photos taken at sunset. Thank you, as always! xx

Uno de mis planes favoritos en verano es irme de mercadillos. Aunque no tenga que comprar nada en especial me chifla darme un paseo y echar un ojo a todos los puestos (y cuando digo todos, me refiero a todos!), porque no hay nada como disfrutar de un paseito por las tiendas y terminar tomando algo. En Ibiza nunca me pierdo el de Las Dalias, el mas famoso por su ambiente hippie y con especial encanto porque al ser al caer la tarde siempre hay una luz espectacular, algo como mágico.  Me puse este vestido de estilo lencero en mi color favorito, con babuchas de ante y capazo, todo con accesorios dorados y mis gafas favoritas. Last time I was in Ibiza (about a month ago), I forgot to pack this outfit which I’d bought especially to wear on the island. It’s to be expected when you spend your life packing and unpacking suitcases, but having said this, I managed to bring it with me this time. It’s definitely inspired on Ibiza, a vibe which I love and looks amazing with the landscape and the cute white houses. I think these kind of pieces go perfectly with sandals such as the ones that I am wearing today, in natural leather – the more simple the better – and wicker basket bags. We took the photos at the second hotel we stayed in, the Sol House Ibiza Rocks, which has an amazing rooftop pool. Here are the photos, I hope you enjoy them .. it’s almost  August! 

La anterior vez que estuve en Ibiza (hace cosa de un mes), me olvidé de meter en la maleta este look que me había comprado especialmente para estrenar en la isla, ya sabéis, cosas que pasan cuando me paso la vida haciendo y deshaciendo maletas, por eso esta vez no podía faltar. Tiene ese aire adlib ibicenco que tanto me gusta y que queda tan bien con la isla y sus casitas blancas. Me parece que este tipo de ropa queda fenomenal con sandalias como las que llevo, en piel natural y lo mas sencillas que sea posible, y con cestos de mimbre como el que llevo. Sacamos las fotos en el segundo hotel que estuvimos, el Sol House Ibiza Rocks, que tiene este rooftop con piscina super chulo. It’s finally Friday and the truth is that days just fly by in summer. I can’t keep up with the weeks and months just keep on coming, I love the heat! We’re taking you back to Ibiza today this time in the first hotel that we stayed in, the ME, and its breathtaking infinity pool where these photos were taken. It was a spontaneous shoot. The outfit is super simple and it’s what I rocked to breakfast and we decided to take the photos because the light was truly incredible. I wore the same blouse as the one you saw in yesterday’s post (but turned around… haha) with black shorts and sandals. You don’t need much more in summer! xx 

Ya estamos a Viernes, la verdad es que en verano los días se me pasan volando, de las semanas ni me entero y los meses se me van sin darme cuenta, cuánto me gusta el calor! Volvemos a Ibiza, esta vez a nuestro primer hotel, el ME, y a su increíble infinity pool que es donde aprovechamos para sacar estas fotos. Ni habíamos pensado hacerlas, el look es muy sencillo y es lo que me había puesto para ir a desayunar, pero de repente se nos ocurrió sacar estas fotos porque la luz era preciosa. Llevaba la misma blusa que os enseñaba en el post de ayer (pero dada la vuelta, jj, truquillo!), con shorts negros y sandalias en piel natural, es que en verano no hace falta nada mas! It’s one of those looks that make me feel super comfortable and the good thing about these kind of pieces is that you can adapt them to many different occasions: a night do, something for the beach or a little more casual … I wore it to go for a wonder in the afternoon and to go out for dinner outside, the kind of simple but special things that we all do -and love- in summer. Muy buenos dias! Hoy toca mi look favorito de la semana pasada, formado por mono “Tracy” de À Bicyclette (lo tenéis AQUI), sandalias gladiadoras del año pasado que me siguen encantando, sombrerito canotier y mini bolso vintage de Chanel. Es de esos looks con los que me siento super cómoda y lo bueno de este tipo de prendas es que según como nos las pongamos podemos adaptarlas a muchas ocasiones: mas noche, mas playero, mas casual… Me lo puse para dar un paseo al caer la tarde y para salir a cenar a una terraza, ya sabéis, los típicos planes sencillos pero geniales del verano. I love wearing stripes and red in summer, I don’t know what it is about this combo but it always looks amazing. A few days ago I rocked this outfit with a very simple base consisting of a striped top and shorts, and I added a pop of red with my sunglasses and sandals. I wasn’t so sure about going for such a matchy matchy look but I loved it in the end and decided to go shopping and for dinner in my nautical inspired outfit. We took these photos at sunset (we almost ran out of light) and I look happy, because as you can imagine, being on holiday and in such good company is the best feeling ever. Lots of love!! 

Creo que una de mis combinaciones favoritas para el verano es la de rayas con rojo, no sé que tiene, pero siempre queda de 10. Hace un par de días me puse este look con base sencilla de camiseta de rayas y shorts al que añadí toque rojo en las gafas y en las sandalias. No estaba muy convencida de combinar tanto, pero al final me encantó como quedaba y me fui de compritas y a cenar con mi mix marinero. Al atardecer sacamos estas fotos (justo al límite, por los pelos no nos quedamos sin luz), y claro, se me ve feliz porque esto de estar de vacaciones tan bien acompañada (los que me seguís por snapchat ya sabéis de lo que os hablo -soy @bartabacmode), es lo mejor del muuuuundo. I love black dresses for summer, specially this one because is different, it has lurex detailing and it’s super flowy. It’s one of those dresses that seems to follow me around as I walk and it looks amazing when it’s windy (don’t get me started on how great it looks in photos). These kind of dresses never need accessorizing, a pair of nice sandals, a comfy bag – a must-have in summer – and a nice hairstyle. I hope that you like the photos and thanks so much for reading. 

Me gustan los vestidos negros para el verano, y este mas todavía porque es bien diferente a todos los que tengo por sus detalles en lúrex y porque tiene muchísimo vuelo. Es de esos vestidos que parece que “me acompañan” cuando ando y que quedan genial cuando hay viento (para fotos ya ni os cuento). Creo que ni necesitan muchos complementos, con unos zapatos chulos, un bolso cómodo -condición imprescindible en veranito- y voilá! Espero que os gusten las fotos y mil gracias por pasaros.

It’s now clear that this summer is all about off-the-shoulder pieces. It was a really powerful trend last year and it seems (and I am all up for it), that it’s here to stay! We’ll have to wait and see what happens next year. I am not sure how many off-the-shoulder pieces I have but I love rocking bare shoulders and I think it’s a really flattering style. This dress is one of my favourites and I love wearing it with red. Está claro que este es el verano de las prendas off-shoulder (ya sabéis, otros años las protas han sido las espaldas descubiertas, las sisas amplias…), una tendencia que ya entró con mucha fuerza el año pasado pero que parece que vino para quedarse, aunque ya veremos el año que viene! No sé cuantas prendas tengo de este estilo, me chifla lo de ir enseñando el hombro y lo veo muy favorecedor. Este vestido ya es uno de mis favoritos y me chifla con rojo, la mezcla de este azul noche y el rojo da un resultado como marinero que encajaba genial para contaros el lanzamiento de la nueva fragancia The Girl by Tommy Hilfiger, nacida de la colaboración entre Tommy Hilfiger y Gigi Hadid que en España se vende en exclusiva en Druni.
